How Is Amp Different from Adenosine
It is known that adenosine is related to inhibiting immune response, coronary vasodilation, stimulating angiogenesis, and inhibiting inflammation. Inosine is converted to purine catabolite by purine nucleoside phosphorylase (PNP), while AMP is converted to ADP and ATP by adenylate kinase (MK).

Eukaryotic enzyme 5'- adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase (AMPK) uses AMP for steady-state energy processes when cell energy consumption is high (such as exercise). Although γ subunits can bind to AMP/ADP/ATP, only the binding of AMP/ADP can lead to the conformational transformation of enzyme proteins. This difference in the binding of AMP/ADP and ATP results in a change in the dephosphorylation state of the enzyme. AMPK is dephosphorylated by various protein phosphatases, resulting in the complete inactivation of the catalytic function. AMP/ADP protects AMPK from inactivation by binding to γ subunits and maintaining dephosphorylation.
